FIT TIP: TRAVEL WITH A DECK OF CARDS TO GET A WORKOUT IN WHILE YOU’RE ON THE GO

We’ve introduced you to Michele Sotak, Filip Debast and Jason Barber. This month, we highlight Rachel Glew of Letchworth Garden City, England. Rachel runs Strength in Motion Fitness, a lifestyle coaching and personal training business, and has been an LFA trainer for three years.
If you’re on the road and don’t have the equipment you need to get in a quick and exciting workout, a simple deck of cards can be all you need to build in variety on the go.
Find some room in your hotel room, or if it’s nice enough some space outside, and set the deck of cards face down after a good shuffle. Turn on a timer for 15 minutes and use the following formula as you pull from the deck of cards:
* Hearts = Squat jacks (or half jacks)
* Clubs = Shoulder tap press (or modify press position)
* Diamonds = Butterfly sit ups
* Spades = Skaters
* Joker = Burpees
Do the exercise for 20 seconds and then draw a new card, and don’t forget to factor in at least a 10-second breather in-between.
