Life Fitness Academy Trainer Keith Smith
How did you get involved with Life Fitness Academy?

In 1996, I was working for YMCAfit, a provider of fitness education in the UK, and Life Fitness partnered with the program to deliver Life Fitness product training. This is how I was initially introduced to LFA, and I’ve continued to be a part of the Life Fitness family ever since. I am currently an LFA Global Master Trainer, and have been for the past four years. My current work for Life Fitness involves delivering education both internally, to distributors, and externally to Life Fitness customers.

What is your favorite piece of Life Fitness or Hammer Strength equipment to train people on?

Everyone I train is different, and I utilize various pieces of equipment to best fit their needs. My overall mantra to the people I train is to enjoy the exercise experience, and provide the inspiration and motivation they need to become successful. All Life Fitness equipment is high quality, and designed to ensure that it meets the wants and needs of different user groups.

What is your favorite piece of Life Fitness or Hammer Strength equipment to train on yourself?

The piece of equipment that is my personal favorite, and that I train on often, is the SYNRGY360XL system. It provides a versatile and dynamic workout with limitless options to keep my workouts fresh and fun.

How often do you work out each week?

I work out about three times per week. It’s important that I have a solid balance between working out and spending time with my family and friends. The common ground for both is that I am always enjoying the experience, from working out to hanging out.

What are your favorite post-workout treats?

I have not found a post-workout treat that I don’t enjoy! From high-protein drinks to energy boosting bars, I always make sure to get my post-workout protein in (and make it delicious).

What is a fitness tip you think everyone should know?

My number one workout secret is to find something you enjoy. That’s something I am deeply passionate about and pride myself on as a fitness trainer. I create individual fitness experiences for each one of my clients, and put them at the center of the process. It’s all about them and what workout equipment and exercise routine brings them the most joy, while also bringing them the strength and endurance they’re seeking from their Life Fitness Academy Global Master Trainer.

Want more from Keith? We’ll be back later this month with custom workouts, fitness tips, and more on this blog, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. In the meantime, tweet your questions to @LifeFitness with #LFATotM and we’ll try to get them answered.
