LFA Trainer Of The Month For July Filip Debast


LFA Trainer of the Month is designed to help you get to know the trainers behind one of Life Fitness’ greatest educational resources: Life Fitness Academy (LFA). We kicked off with our first Trainer of the Month in June, Michele Sotak. This month, we’re introducing Filip Debast. Filip is an LFA Master Trainer based in a small town outside of Brussels, Belgium. Filip focuses on a holistic approach to training, and will be sharing his fitness tips and insider knowledge with us this month. Let’s get to know him:

What do you do when you aren’t working with Life Fitness Academy (LFA)?

I run my own personal training business, Personal Drive Belgium. When I am not working with Life Fitness, I am coaching my clients with a holistic approach to fitness. I try to look after the stress levels of my clients. With this information, we try to find the best option to create health, balance, and fitness in their lives.

What is your favorite piece of Life Fitness equipment?

I really like the SYNRGY360 system. It creates a playground, which promotes my creativity as a trainer.

Excluding your personal training schedule, how often do you commit to working out each week?

I try to work out four times a week. It is usually a mixture of yoga, core stability training, endurance training and strength training.

What is your favorite post-workout treat?

It depends on the training I do, but I like a cold shower.

Do you have a fun fact for us?

I finished the marathons in Rotterdam and Athens. I also do a lot of bike races, like La Marmotte in the French Alps.
