Ross Nixon joins as an Account Manager for Scotland and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, with over ten years’ experience in the fitness industry. Ross’s career to date has spanned being a Health and Fitness Product Development Officer for Glasgow Life, Sports Readiness Gym Manager for Glasgow Life, helping to deliver the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, as well as a Personal Trainer.

Commenting on his new role, Ross said: “Having been a long-standing customer of Life Fitness, it has given me a sound understanding of their premium equipment and the quality of service that makes them a market leader.  I’m really enjoying working with like-minded people who all share such passion about Life Fitness equipment and the fitness industry.”

Ross’s love of the industry is reflected in his personal achievements, which include a World Record attempt at the largest ever high intensity interval training class; taking part in a trek through the Himalayas in Nepal raising £3165 for Marie Curie; leading a live television exercise event for 26,000 people for the Great Scottish Run; and carrying the Queen’s baton at the Queen’s baton relay for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.

Adam Upton joins as Account Manager for Southern England with an extensive background in health and fitness.  Prior to joining Life Fitness, Adam held the role of Operations Director of BXR London, General Manager at multiple London PureGym outlets, Fitness Manager at Virgin Active and a Fitness Trainer at Royal Holloway University’s Olympic Village in 2012.

Adam has also demonstrated strong determination and dedication outside the workplace, having previously taken part in a charity hike across the Lake District over three days, without taking water, food or shelter, as well as setting up his own charity, focusing on climate change, animal conservation and renewable fuels.

He comments: “I’m excited to further develop my skills and work for such an established and well- renowned company. Working with Local Authorities and Trusts to support members leading active lifestyles lends itself directly to my passion of encouraging people to live healthier lives.”

David Connolly, Life Fitness Local Authority and Trust Manager, added: “Both Ross and Adam bring valuable skills with their high levels of expertise and knowledge, as well as being incredibly passionate about fitness and wellbeing. We’re delighted to have them on board and look forward to working with them both.”
